Patent: Method and device for the deposition of nanoparticles on the inner wall of the capillary polymer using ultrasonic waves

Abstract

The invention provides a method and a divice for coating the inner wall of teflon capillary tubing with nanoparticles (e.g. metals or their oxides). Using this method the inner tubing surface can achieve chemical or biological activity.

Advantages and innovative aspects

1. Slick and inactive surface coated with an active material (e.g. a catalyst).
2. Stable thin layers of nanoparticles.
3. High temperature and pressure are not required.
4. The use of water as green solvent.

Selected potential applications

1. Preparation of teflon capillary tubing for microfludic and photocatalytic purification of water.
2. Antibacterial filter.
3. Photocatalytic synthesis of organic compounds in the microfluidic systems.
4. Medical analytics.
