Abstract

This chapter is focused on microwave- and sonication-based green procedures for the synthesis of perovskite-type oxides with the general formula ABO3.The first part of this chapter is devoted to the use of microwave in methods such as hydrothermal, sol-gel, combustion and ​“citrate” method, after which we treat in detail the methodologies to prepare this kind of materials by sonication. It is worth emphasizing that the ideas of sustainable and green chemistry overlap perfectly with the core ideas of microwave- and sonication-based methodologies.
