Our conference participation turned out to be an amazing experience for members of the CatSEE group, IPC, Warsaw (Poland), enabling an exchange of knowledge and novel ideas to advance the concept of green/sustainable chemistry and circular economy. During the scientific oral/poster sessions, we demonstrated the activity of TiO2 and (mono)bimetallic-containing TiO2 catalysts for oxidation of different aromatic alcohols (lignin-based model compounds) in batch and microflow systems, resulting in fruitful discussions with many academic researchers and industry experts.
Oral presentation by Prof. Dr. Juan Carlos Colmenares entitled: “Connecting sonication with photocatalysis to intensify a continuous flow photocatalytic processes: A disruptive alternative for lignin valorization” (co-authors: Marta Paszkiewicz-Gawron, Swaraj R. Pradhan, Dariusz Łomot, and Abdul Qayyum).
