Amazing opportunity to share our research, and learn from others virtually: 5th EuGSC

5th EuChemS Conference on Green and Sustainable Chemistry (5th EuGSC), which was held virtually on 26 – 29 September 2021. Our group participation by:

  • Keynote lecture by Prof. Juan C. Colmenares, entitled: Coupling sonochemistry and flow/batch heterogeneous photocatalysis within the concept of lignin valorization towards sustainable selective oxidation”. Acknowledgements: This work was supported by the National Science Centre (NCN) in Poland within the research projects OPUS-13 nr 2017/25/B/ST8/01592 and Sonata Bis 5 Nr. 2015/18/E/ST5/00306.
  • Oral presentation by Mr. Abdul Qayyum, entitled:Ultrasonic-assisted synthesis of TiO2: photocatalytic selective oxidation of benzyl alcohol to benzyl aldehyde”. Acknowledgements: The authors would like to acknowledge the support from National Science Centre in Poland within the research project OPUS-13 no. 2017/25/B/ST8/01592.
  • Poster presentation by Ms. Swaraj R. Pradhan, entitled:Selective oxidation of benzyl alcohols in microreactor with ultrasound-assisted immobilized monometallic catalysts”. Acknowledgments: This work is supported by the National Science Centre in Poland within SonataBis 5 Project No.2015/18/E/ST5/00306.

The Organizers: The EuGSC conferences offer the opportunity to discuss the latest developments in green & sustainable chemistry, to expand existing and establish new relations among academia and industry, and to disseminate the philosophy and principles of sustainable development and circular (bio)economy. The topics of the 5th EuGSC cover the broader field of green chemistry and technology with more emphasis on green solvents, sustainable catalytic and synthetic processes, biomass conversion to fuels, chemicals and polymers, CO2 utilization, alternative fuels and green energy, benign low-energy chemical processes, nanomaterials for energy and the environment, pollution prevention and remediation, computational chemistry, green chemistry metrics and environmental assessment, sustainable industrial processes, waste recycle and valorization, and circular (bio)economy.”.
