Our research work has obtained an award in the 2021 best publication competition of the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
This research work was focused on the synthesis of a unique multiphase nano-structured material consisting of titanium dioxide cores surrounded with an amorphous phase grafted with oxygen and carbon-containing organic functionalities using a low-power high-frequency (500 kHz) ultrasound-assisted precipitation method and showed as a super heterogeneous photocatalyst either against gaseous phase by decomposing toxic vapors of chemical warfare agents or in the liquid phase by additive-free selectively oxidizing benzyl alcohol.
